No room for rest.

Well Saturday was the very last day for the Free Idea shop, closing up the shop was very mixed between happy and depressing.
I cannot stress enough how lifted i am from being able to have the experience of actually running my own shop and having the time for people to just come in and talk to me about what i do, and how moved they are that I in some way am putting the crime ridden city of Fitchburg Massachusetts back on the map in a more positive form.
having the shop was a thrill without a doubt. having 400+ people coming in the shop over a period of 5 months, to some that may seem like a low number. but for the fact that the shop was located on the infamous "elm street in fitchburg", nobody really knew the actual spot of the shop and even returning people had a hard time finding the place from time to time. having teachers come in and ask me to speak at schools and business owners come in from others cities, offering me free rent for up to 3 months to move my shop to there city in there building, having the mayor come in sit on the couch and ask me what I would like to see come into the city and if i would like to help. its amazing. i cannot be more thankful. but my lease is up. and its time to move on to the next project in free idea.

In November I will be moving Free Idea into the free idea offices where i will have a decent size space split up between my own office area where i will work out of. the storage area where everything will be set for easy access for setups, online orders, and consignment/ wholesale orders. my intern (Katie) space where she will also be running her up and coming line, and a silk screen area where the lines will be screened. and packaged.

In november there will be ALOT of changes to free idea. there will no longer be just shirt design after shirt design for releases.
instead everything will be released in a series. where each piece will be related to the next, making them more of a collectable item. because instead of just getting one design out of the release, you can now get that feel of collecting the whole series.
this november i will be releasing the first Free Idea Jacket. not sweater, not hoody, but actual jacket.
not sure the exact release but it will either be with dark ages or the following. there will be no more unisex. tees will be made in both MENS and WOMENS sizes and there will be special items for men and women only.
2009 will close up with free idea, and 2010 will begin with Free Idea.

you cant imagine how much fun where having...

i would like everyones input on what people would like to see made.
i have been wanting to make hats for a while. but a full range of fitted hats is just way to out of the budget
